She’s a maniac on the floor!!!

It’s my first season working with our local dance school la Salle de dance. This week has been the run up to the big shows this weekend and it has been in a word…hectic. A lot of late nights have been required. Tonight was our first run through at the venue Bakkenteigen kulturhus with lights, sound and all the trimmings. I have two choreographies in the show and I must admit that my nerves spike every time my girls do their bits. Every time I’m equally impressed by how well they handle themselves. All the girls and boys in the show have given a little extra tonight…ahhhh the magic of show business!!! There are about 300 kids and adults of all ages performing and it’s kind of mayhem trying to keep track of everyone. Our fearless leader Malin is a brave woman for taking on the task.

Tomorrow will be another long day starting with dress rehearsals at nine AM. I really look forward to seeing it all pull together though, with the little kinks ironed out… Fingers crossed, break a leg and all that

Yours truly, caught in action giving some of my girls a little bit of final direction.
